Beginning at 10:00 a.m., remaining tickets will not only be available at the Ticket Omaha Box Office, but will also be available online at TicketOmaha.org or by calling 402-345-0606. Wicked will play in Omaha Wednesday, May 6 through Sunday, May 31 at the Orpheum
Theater. Opening week performances are Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Friday 8 p.m.; Saturday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The following weeks the performances will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $30 to $128.

The musical is directed by 2003 and 2004 Tony® Award winner Joe Mantello (Take Me Out, Assassins, Love! Valour! Compassion!, The Vagina Monologues, Glengarry Glenn Ross) and features musical staging by Tony® Award winner Wayne Cilento (Aida, The Who’s Tommy, How To Succeed…). Wicked, winner of 20 major awards, including a Grammy® Award and three Tony® Awards, is the untold story of the witches of Oz. It is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.

Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One – born with emerald
green skin – is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular.
Wicked tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.

Wicked features set design by Tony® Award winning Eugene Lee, costume design by Tony®
winner Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Tony® nominee Kenneth Posner and sound design by Tony Meola. Stephen Oremus is the show’s music director. Orchestrations are by William David Brohn, with dance arrangements by James Lynn Abbott.

The first North American tour of Wicked has “cast quite a spell” (Washington Post) throughout
North America, breaking box office records in every city that it has played, including Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Boston to name a few.

There are currently eight productions of Wicked. Called “one of the most successful shows in
Broadway history” by The New York Times and “a phenomenon that keeps growing” by the Los Angeles Times, Wicked continues to thrill audiences around the world. The Broadway production of Wicked began performances in New York on October 8, 2003 at The Gershwin Theatre. The Chicago engagement took the stage on Friday, June 24, 2005 at The Ford Center for the Performing Arts/Oriental Theatre and ended its triumphant run Sunday, January 25, 2009 after 1,500 performances. The Los Angeles extended engagement at the Pantages Theatre opened on February 21, 2007 and concluded its record-breaking run on Sunday, January 11, 2009. An open-ended San Francisco engagement began performances January 27 at the Orpheum Theatre. A second North American tour will launch in Ft. Myers, FL on March 7.

The London production of Wicked opened on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the Apollo
Victoria Theatre. A Japanese-language production of the musical opened in Tokyo on June 17, 2007 and a German-language production opened in Stuttgart on November 15, 2007. An Australian production of Wicked opened in Melbourne on July 12, 2008 and a Dutch-language production of Wicked will open in 2010.

The Omaha engagement of Wicked is presented by arrangement with Omaha Performing Arts
and its partner, Broadway Across America – Omaha.
